So many skinned meshes on custom characters!
I created several custom characters for a project -- only to discover in Unity that that each have 16+ skinned meshes. That seems awfully high--Unity recommends a single skinned mesh per character. I did not choose the face animation option (which I can understand would add several skinned meshes). Can I eliminate all these skinned meshes, or am I stuck?

Gecko,
You probably have multiple resolution meshes active at the same time. Drag a character into the scene and delete the resolution levels you do not need. Then make a prefab of the final version. You probably don't need things like the teeth and mouth, or the extra set of eyes for the gloss effect. -
